From Motovarese, KTm Bike, KTM Moorbike shop and rental (free pick up at Malpensa Airport), head towards the Swiss border (Cantello-Gaggiolo).
From Gaggiolo take the Mendrisio - Lugano road. In Mulino Maroggia watch out for the speed camera, and past the village turn right and begin to go uphill towards Lanzo D'Intelvi, on a beautiful panoramic road. After the border with Switzerland, you’ll reach Lanzo D'Intelvi, then continue to Seghignola, also called the "balcony of Italy", where you can enjoy a beautiful view over the Alps and the city of Lugano You can stop for food/bedrooms at the "Stella d'Italia" B&B. The descent to Porlezza is nice, but slippery in winter on the lake edge. In Porlezza you can stop for an ice-cream in the square. Continuing towards Gandria, you’ll arrive in Lugano.
optional detour: Descent to Menaggio; continue straight in the valley towards Como, trough a beautiful road descending to the lake (very panoramic). You’ll reach the crossroads to the “Regina” statal road, and turning right you go back to Como, while turning left you’ll reach the northern part of Lake Como(see tour B.5)
