From the Motovarese, KTM bike and KTM motorbike shop and rental (free pick up at Malpensa Airport), pick the direction to “Sacro Monte” (Sacred Mountain)-Brinzio- Rancio Valcuvia.
When you reach the Cittiglio-Luino road (SS 394), turn right towards Luino.
Once you reach Luino, follow the signs to Maccagno-Zenna - Switzerland, and continue to Locarno, then Domodossola.
The road is really nice and all curves, and it runs along the northern shore of Lake Maggiore.
After Locarno, we recommend visiting the Sanctuary of the village of Re (also called the “Madonna of Blood”, after the miracle of blood in 1494).
Finally in Domodossola you can fit into the Sempione variant of tour C.3.
If you wish to prolong the journey, chose the optional detours in the Valleys: Verzasca Valley or Maggia Valley.
These are beautiful “closed” valleys, where you can swim in the rivers in summer; especially in the Verrzasca Valley, the river forms a series of ponds that are natural pools of very cool water, suitable for diving enjoying the sight of a beautiful Roman bridge; in Maggia Valley we recommend swimming in the river, then walking to the dam of Bosco Gurin village.
